Noordwijk

Since the weather is great here lately, Elisa and I decided to visit one of my favorite beaches in Holland: Noordwijk. Its surrounded by beautiful, unspoiled natural areas of dunes through which you can stroll for miles. Also, since we arrived around 8pm, most visitors had already left which made it a very good place for a relaxing beach walk!

I recently bought a Canon 200D, since my previous camera had stopped working after 5 years of delivering great results. The beach is a wonderful location to play with light during sunset, so I was really looking forward to test my new camera that night…

Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam

…I finally made it to the Hortus! This place has been on my list for a long time. The botanical garden was founded in 1683 and used to serve as a herb garden for medical practitioners. Nowadays it’s famous for some of its trees & plants. The garden includes a Palm House, some green houses, beautiful halls, a store and a cafe. It definitely was a pleasure strolling around here on a peaceful sunny morning. The butterfly greenhouse & Palm House were my favorite spots!

Enchanting evenings

On Friday afternoon, Esmée & I decided to plan an evening shoot in Amsterdam. It had been a while since the last time we had a shoot together, so I was really looking forward to it! Geared up with our camera’s & winter-proof outfits, we were ready to go. I absolutely loved strolling through the canal district around 5 pm. There were still lots of Christmas lights scattered through the city and the Amsterdam Light festival was also going on. When it became darker outside, Esmée popped her umbrella decorated with festive lights which perfectly matched the surroundings… Let’s move on to the pictures!
