Sakura season

When nature shows off its delicate beauty…

Every year, I’m looking forward to Spring for particular reasons. One of the main things I love about this season is the fact that the cherry blossom trees are in full bloom for several weeks. In Japan, the tree symbolises ephemeral beauty, mainly due to its short blooming period. It’s still my dream to visit the country during sakura season. One day… 😉

My favourite place to spot them close-by home is at the Volkenkunde museum in Leiden. Right in front of the building, there’s always a beautiful line-up. Since I missed my chance to see them last year, and everything started to bloom earlier this year, I decided to plan a spontaneous visit last weekend. Once I reached the museum, I was super happy to see the cotton candy coloured blossoms were already there. In combination with the beautiful photo exhibition and comfy seats, it was quite easy to dream away for a moment… And that’s exactly what I did!

Lots of love, Manisha
