Delft

I recently visited Delft: a very cute & cozy city situated right in between Den Haag and Rotterdam. Since I was planning to meet a friend for lunch in the afternoon and I was free that day, I decided to head over to the city a few hours earlier to wander around with my camera. Once I reached the main square were the city hall is and saw the high tower of the Old church right in front of me, I decided to climb it. It’s the highest tower in town, which means I had to climb 400 steps on the narrow spiral staircase to reach the top. Yup, I was pretty exhausted when I finally made it to the top, but the view was definitely worth it! It was a lovely experience to get a 360′ view of the whole city and spot some familiar sights from a bird’s-eye view…

Willemstad, Curaçao

Bon bini, Willemstad!

The capital city of Curaçao, sometimes also referred to as “Amsterdam of the western hemisphere”, is defintely one of the most colourful cities I’ve ever visited. Approximately  140.000 people are living here. The main districts of Willemstad, Punda & Ottrobanda are connected by the queen Emma bridge. The architecture of the buildings is mainly influenced by the Portuguese, and of course, Holland. Therefore, It was very interesting to explore the city and spot some similarities!

Shete Boka national park

Besides the incredible beach scene of the island, Curaçao has got to offer much more. If you like getting off the beaten track & are a lover of nature and the sea, Shete Boka is a wonderful place to spend your day. The park covers 10+ km of the rugged north coast of the island. The most famous spot here is Boka Tabla: an underground cave which is accessible from only one side and where you’ll be able to see the sea being pushed up, which results in spectacular views…
